Sponsorship Opportunities Flower
If you are the type who likes to donate
toward specific items, the Eastmoreland Garden offers several design elements
for sponsorship. (Remember, donations can be monetary or take the form of needed
in-kind services or labor.)
- A Rose level donor of $5,000 and above can
specifically sponsor a 7-foot, cast-iron bench with a rose medallion, or a
human and pet drinking fountain for the garden.
- A Rhododendron level donor of $2,500 to $4,999 can
sponsor one of the two corner seat walls at the “Eastmoreland” entry signs or
refurbish the historical light pillars from the Bybee Blvd. overpass.
- An Azalea level donor of $1,000 to $2,499 can sponsor
the layout of early 20th-century Eastmoreland Line trolley track within the
brick design or a plaque sandblasted with historical text and graphics.
- A Trillium level donor of $500 to $1,000 can sponsor
one of ten new trees to be planted in the garden. Educational tree and plant
labels can also be sponsored at this level.
- Cash donors of $135 to $499 will be recognized on an engraved
brick. Donors of $500 and more will be recognized on an inlaid plaque.
Sponsors may be recognized with an engraved 8x12-inch plaque detailing their
contribution and installed on the ground in front of the sponsored feature.
- Donations of ANY amount are always welcome and appreciated.
All funds go toward making the garden a reality and are tax deductible.
How will contributors be recognized?
In-kind contributors will be listed on donor plaques inlaid in the brick
paving. Donor plaques are established for the Rose, Rhododendron, Azalea and
Trillium donor levels. Cash donors of $135-$499 may be recognized on an engraved
brick and donors of $500 or more on an inlaid plaque.
Sponsors may be recognized with an engraved 8x12-inch plaque recognizing
their contribution and placed on the ground in front of the sponsored feature.
The plaques will be set in concrete and be similar to those placed elsewhere in
the Garden to recognize other large contributors. All recognition plaques and
wording must be consistent with PP&R policy.
What sponsorships are available to businesses, organizations and individuals?
Historical and Interpretive Elements
- Contrasting stone plaques of mixed size and shape and
sandblasted with text and graphics will be set inside the central brick
design. Cost will range from $1,000 to $2,000, depending on size.
- Original trolley track from the Eastmoreland Line will be
used as a design element in the garden, pending removal from the Bybee Blvd.
overpass in 2004 by the Portland Department of Transportation. Installation
costs to be determined.
- Replica light fixtures and electrical work for the historic
pillars from the Bybee Blvd. overpass, will be added to the garden design,
pending approval from Portland Parks & Recreation and Portland Dept. of
Transportation. Design and installation costs to be determined.
Benches and Corner Seats
- Twelve benches are available for sponsorship at $5,000
each. The 7-foot benches are constructed of wood slats in a black cast-iron
frame, with a center armrest and a decorative rose medallion. This amount
includes purchase, installation, and maintenance of the bench and
recognition plaque.
- Corner seat walls and an “Eastmoreland” entry sign will
mark the east and west corners of SE 27th Avenue and Bybee Blvd., if
donations are sufficient to fund these delightful extras. Final design and
cost to be determined.

- A standard 4”x8” paving brick with 2 lines, 32 characters

Trees and Planting Elements

the Garden Committee with input from donors and approval from the City’s
Urban Forester. Donors will be recognized in the Trillium category on the
main donor board.
- Tree and plant labels, their number, design and cost to be
determined, are offered for sponsorship. Donors will be recognized in the
appropriate category on the main donor board.
Drinking Fountain

behind the corner monument in the park. Its cost is to be determined.
