Seeking enthusiastic newsletter advertising coordinator

Are you an Eastmoreland resident?

Do you read the Eastmoreland Neighborhood Association newsletter? (It’s published three times a year and mailed to 1600 households.)

Have you worked in sales, and/or do you enjoy talking to people who own nearby retail or service businesses?

Are you a business or journalism student needing experience for a class project?

Our current advertising person is moving on to other things, and we need a replacement.

We have about a dozen current advertisers to contact for each issue, and there is plenty of room for more. You’ll help raise funds for neighborhood projects with money from ad sales.

There is no monetary pay for this job, but you get sales experience, meet folks in person or via email, and get your name on the newsletter as one of the volunteer newsletter staff.

Expect to spend between 20 to 30 hours per newsletter cycle at this volunteer position.

Interested?

The position involves keeping records of advertisers, sending invoices, collecting checks in person or by mail and passing them on to the ENA Treasurer, sending ad copy to our copy editor, and generally keeping in touch with the newsletter and copy editors.

If interested, please contact Meg Merrick or Karen Williams at newsletter@eastmoreland.org, with “Advertisement Position” in the subject line.
