The Eastmoreland Neighborhood Tree Committee will hold a meeting, from 7pm to 8:30pm in the Duniway School library.

We will discuss an up-coming tree planting, scheduled for early November, 2012, as well as the importance of species diversity in street trees.

All residents are welcome to come.

Monday, July 30 is the date for the 2012 Johnson Creek Charity Golf Classic at Persimmon Country Club in Gresham. 

The Eastmoreland Neighborhood is located within the Johnson Creek Watershed, and the Watershed Council seeks foursomes of golfers to play in their "first annual" golf tournament.  Cost?  $500 team entry per foursome includes:  18 holes of golf with powered carts, continental breakfast, hot dogs & hamburgers at the turn, post tournament awards reception and dinner.

Johnson Creek also seeks sponsors for the golf holes - cost is $1000 per hole, which includes payment for a team of four golfers.

Eastmoreland, Sellwood/Moreland and Brooklyn Neighborhoods will participate in a tree-planting project, sponsored by Friends of Trees.  The planting will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2011.  Our gathering place is the Moreland Presbyterian Church, 1814 SE Bybee Ave.

Volunteers are welcome to help plant trees.  Training provided.  Please dress for the weather, including sturdy shoes.
