Presentation of the Historic District Draft Nomination Rescheduled for Dec. 14th!

Due to PPS’s snow day on Dec. 8th, the Historic District Draft Nomination presentation has been rescheduled (see below).

When? Wednesday, December 14th, 6-8pm
Where? Duniway School Auditorium
What? The presentation will include AECOM’s presentation to the neighborhood of the draft nomination including maps and data showing the contributing and non-contributing properties, a summary of the significance of the neighborhood story, and the proposed district boundary.

This will include an extended Q and A focused on the development and scope of design guidelines for the district that could guide change in the future. There will be opportunities to comment on the designation of individual properties and discussion of the boundary. We have commitments from officials from the state and city to be involved in the discussion of design guidelines.

Link to Preliminary Draft Eastmoreland Historic District Nomination to SHPO

A preliminary draft of the Eastmoreland Historic District nomination was submitted to the State Historic Preservation Office on November 1st for comment. After we have received their comments and the nomination is revised according to their comments, the nomination will be presented at a neighborhood meeting in early December.
